- Official visit by Illinois-Eastern Iowa Governor Ken Whitmore
to Division 29 staged in Beardstown.

- CLERGY APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
- Jacksonville's Clergy are honored by Kiwanis and a noon gathering.

November 14 |
- NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
- An indoctrination session for all new members of the club.
|
|
November 16 |
- MEETING WITH THE K-KIDS CLUB
- We attend a joint meeting with our two K-Kids Clubs hosted
by the group at the Illinois School for the Deaf.

November 21 |
- JOINT MEETING WITH ROTARY
- Thanksgiving week gathering with that "other" Jacksonville
service club!

January 4 |
- NEW YEAR'S CELEBRITY ROAST
- We open the new year with a roast of one of our beloved members.

- NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
- An indoctrination session for all new members of the club.

February 1 |
- PANCAKE & SAUSAGE DAY KICKOFF
- We begin the sales campaign that preceeds our major fundraiser
for the year.

- I-I DISTRICT MID-WINTER CONVENTION
- The annual winter gathering of the district staged this year
in Burlington, Iowa.

February 13 |
- DIVISION 29 WINTER CAUCUS
- Annual business meeting hosted this year by the Quincy Gem
City Club.

- PANCAKE & SAUSAGE DAY
- Our biggest and greatest annual fundraiser.

- NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
- An indoctrination session for all new members of the club.

- ELECTION OF CLUB OFFICERS

- NORTH SCHOOL YOUTH
- A day of job shadowing and fellowship with the sixth grade
class at our partner school.

- KIWANIS COMMUNITY PRAYER BREAKFAST
- Kiwanians host a city-wide celebration for the National Day
of Prayer.

May 10 |
- ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE LUNCHEON
- Our Club honors the top senior scholars from each of the
five city high schools.

|
May 17 |
- VOCATIONAL RECOGNITION DAY
- Kiwanis pays tribute to the top vocational students at Jacksonville
High School.

June 7 |
- A.W. APPLEBEE SERVICE AWARDS LUNCHEON
- A special day of community recognition where we honor a civic
servant between the ages of 21-35..

|
June 14 |
- GOLF DAY
- A recreation day of fun and fellowship as Kiwanians enjoy
18 holes of golf together at The Links Golf Course.

July 3-6 |
- KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
- Held this year in San Antonio, Texas.
|
|
July 10 |
- NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
- An indoctrination session for all new members of the club.

July 2 |
- COUNTY FAIR MEETING
- Our annual gathering at the Morgan County Fairgrounds prior
to the opening of the County Fair.

July 26-27 |
- ROBBIE McEVERS GOLF TOURNAMENT
- The Kiwanis-sponsored tournament for young people up to age
18 staged in memory of a young golfer who died of leukemia.

|
August 10-12 |
- I-I DISTRICT CONVENTION
- Governor Ken Whitmore hosts this year's District Convention
in Rockford, Illinois.
|
|
August 16 |
- ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC
- Our summer gathering with food, fun, fellowship and bingo.
|
|
September 6 |
- PEANUT DAY KICKOFF
- Our annual fundraiser begins under the direction of "Mr.
Peanut" David Hannel.
|
|
September 11 |
- NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
- An indoctrination session for all new members of the club.
|
|
September 18 |
- PAST PRESIDENTS MEETING
- Held at the Jacksonville Country Club, this is the annual
gathering of all those who have served Kiwanis as Club President.

|
September 22 |
- PEANUT DAY
- Our second major fundraiser, we hit the streets and stores
offering great Kiwanis peanuts in exchange for donations.
|
|
September 27 |
- AWARDS DAY
- A day wherein we honor our achievers from the previous year
including committee chairs, attendance awards and major recognition
recipients.

|
September 30 |
- END OF 2006-2007 ADMINISTRATIVE YEAR
