KIWANIS PARK Located in Northeast Jacksonville

After many months of planning and development, in 1973 the Club purchased property for $4.500.00 to develop a mini-park in an underdeveloped seciton of the city. The land was then deeded in trust to the City of Jacksonville. In cooperation with churches, the City Council and the Jacksonville Childrens Foundation, funds and manpower were provided to clear the land, erect fences and to purchase and install recreational equipment.

In the years that followed, Kiwanis Park has continued to develop with the addition of basketball courts and a baseball field. In 1978 a selection of trees was added to the Park.
