SPASTIC PARALYSIS FOUNDATION
The Official Service Project of the I-I District

Research Foundation For Spastic Paralysis and Related Diseases of the Central Nervous System

In 1952, The Illinois-Eastern Iowa District initiated this project, too large for any one club or one Division.  Since then, the Foundation has invested over two and one half million dollars in basic research grants with another $470,000 committed.  These grants have all been approved by the District Board and the Medical Director, Neurological Surgeon Dr. Luis V.Amador, since the Foundation's inception.

Current grants are for $20,000 a year for a period of five years, a total of $100,000.  This commitment is met by the continued contribution from individual members and increased contributions of memorials.

The Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville proudly supports this endeavor.
