In 2007 The Kiwanis Club
of Jacksonville enetered into a partnership with the Western
Illinois Youth Camp involving financial support and volunteer
work hours to help refurbish the camp and support its programs.
The facility hosts several of
its own events, including the Sneak-A-Peak, Adventure, Teen and
Family Camps. It also serves as the location for programs established
by other organizations such as Camp Hope (for underprivileged
children), Camp Courage (for physically handicapped youth and
adults) and Camp Care-A-Lot (children from low income families).
